Bike Books and a Day in the Shop

Spent the day tooling in the shop with the door open, wind howling, and sun shining, Three Tune Ups down, two to go.

Here are a few of my favorite bicycle books. Number one: Anybody’s Bike Book, a book from the 70’s detailing bicycle mechanics of that era. Check out that illustration! Number two: The Golden Age of Handbuilt Bicycles, a book about turn of the century frame builders who favored bikes with fenders, racks, and durable parts (or randonneur bikes).

Sweet reads, great pictures, lovely bikes.
